Serving at St George’s

We believe God has given each of us gifts to serve others. Whether you enjoy practical tasks or working with people, there is a place for you at St George’s. Serving is also a great way to get to know others, and there’s no limit to how many teams you can join.

Ways to Get Involved

Building & Grounds Maintenance
Caring for our church building is a big task. While major work is undertaken by professional contractors, there are many smaller jobs that need doing. 

Cleaning Team
A dedicated group keeps the church and church hall clean and welcoming for all our activities. New helpers are always very welcome.

Flowers Team
A creative team decorates the church with beautiful flower arrangements throughout the year.

Welcome Team (sides persons)
Our welcome team ensures everyone receives a warm greeting when they arrive. This includes handing out service sheets and hymn books and helping visitors feel at home during the service.

Coffee Team
Great churches run on great coffee! If you’d like to help serve refreshments after services, this essential ministry would love to have you.

Readings & Prayers
This team helps lead our worship by giving the scripture reading and leading prayers during services. Support and guidance are provided.
