UNITED PARISH LENT COURSE : Life on the Breadline: THIS WEEK: Christian responses to poverty in UK

Every Wednesday at for 1 hour, 30 mins
Crowell: Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Just off the B4009 Crowell Chinnor, OX39 4RP, United Kingdom

Our Lent Course this year, is being held at Crowell Church on Wednesday afternoons at 3pm.
We are using a course from The Breadline Research Group, who conducted a three year multi-disciplinary ESRC-funded project analysing the nature, scope and impact of Christian engagement with urban poverty in the UK in the context of austerity since the 2008 financial crisis.
Over the course we are invited to become more informed about, and to consider deeply and prayerfully , themes that will include the Christian response to poverty, poverty and inequality, race, ethnicity, austerity and faith, deficits and assets, housing (in)justice, and the effect poverty has on structural inequality.
Although the topic is a heavy one and the conversations may become deep, it will all be conducted in friendly, gentle atmosphere.
Do join us if you can.
For more information, please do contact Rev'd Jacky on 07769 825 305 or by email [email protected]

P.S. Crowell church has a carpark!

A time and space of reflection and contemplation.
