<br>It has been announced by the Bishop of Exeter that the Rev'd Mark Ruoff, Vicar of Pip and Jim's Ilfracombe, has been appointed as our new Rural Dean. Mark will be installed at the Archdeacons Visitation Service on Monday 22nd June, 7pm, at Holy Trinity Barnstaple.
The Bubble Church Lynton team are featured in Roots and Shoots this week
Parracombe Craft Group held a display of some of their work in Christ Church as part of Parracombe Arts and Literary Festival. Members meet monthly in each others homes and their work is mainly crochet and knitted. Many of the items they make are sold in the hospice shop and items such as blankets may be donated to a local care home. In addition members put a small donation in the pot at each meeting which over a number of years raised over £1200. From this fund, the club has supported a number of local charities such as Air Ambulance and the installation of a local defibrillator. It was great to see some of you at Bubble Church this week! We were thinking about the lost sheep. After shepherd lost one of his sheep, he left the other 99 to search for the one sheep. He searched far and wide and was delighted when he found the sheep. Jesus told this story as a metaphor: we are the sheep and Jesus the shepherd and Jesus will always search for us, welcome us and rejoice with us. We made a ball of Play-Doh to symbolise a flock of sheep, took a small bit off to represent the one lost sheep, and then put the small bit back and made a heart to show how much the shepherd loves his sheep - and how God loves usI wonder how hearing that God loves us so much makes us feel?
