Shirwell Mission Community

The Shirwell Mission Community comprises eight churches in six rural parishes in North Devon: Bratton Fleming with Stoke Rivers; Challacombe; East Down with Arlington; Kentisbury; Loxhore; and Shirwell.  

The Mission Community lies within the Shirwell Deanery and covers an area of just under 50 square miles with a population of approximately 2600. The parishes extend northeast of Barnstaple to the Exmoor National Park and the Somerset border.

The role of Rector is currently in vacancy. Rev'd Katie Katie Welborn van Santen is part-time Interim Team Vicar, and she is supported by a retired Priest, Rev'd Chris Tull.
