St Mary, West Worlington
Welcome to St Mary's, West Worlington
The church is now open and there are no restrictions. You may wear a mask if you wish. There is no formal social distancing. Singing has resumed within the church building.
We offer a more formal type of service grounded in Church of England liturgy with the love of God at the heart of all we do and offer. The services are in traditional language using the Book of Common Prayer.
The services to mark and celebrate, in the sight of God, the important life events are now possible again. Baptisms and weddings can be booked, please contact Adrian 01884 861383 to discuss dates.
While life is still not back to ‘normal’ it is good to see it opening up further. For those still uncertain about coming back to church we have online resources available and be assured you are all in our prayers whether you feel able to join us again yet or not. We have a Facebook page for Witheridge and surrounding churches. It is a closed group but please feel free to ask for access. ‘The church of St John the Baptist, Witheridge’. We are continuing to record a service every Sunday which is available on the Facebook page and via email from [email protected] or call 01884 861383.
There is also a 24/7 telephone line available called ‘Daily Hope’ which is free and has a selection of hymns, short reflections and prayers call 0800 804 8044. This may be of use to your friends and neighbours who have no access to the internet. Please share it with them.
