Welcome to St. James Church, Chawleigh
We are a friendly welcoming group of people who love the Lord and we welcome visitors and new comers with open arms. We are a mixture of ages and backgrounds and love our small village and surrounding countryside. Our services are relaxed and family friendly and when we are not in the middle of a global pandemic, we serve refreshments after every service.

St Michael and All Angels, Wembworthy

Welcome to St Michael and All Angels, Wembworthy
The church is open for private prayer every day between 9am and 5pm.
We offer monthly in person worship, usually held at 9.30am on the first Sunday of each month. Please check with one of the Wardens or see the notice outside the church to be sure. We alternate between a morning prayer and family communion service. All are welcome.
As Covid-19 restrictions are relaxed, we have resumed the singing of hymns and there is no requirement to wear a mask. We know that some people will wish to continue to socially distance and wear a mask, and for them we have reserved the right hand set of pews which are closest to the main door, which will remain open during the service for ventilation.
There is also a 24/7 telephone line available called ‘Daily Hope’ which is free and has a selection of hymns, short reflections and prayers call 0800 804 8044. This may be of use to your friends and neighbours who have no access to the internet. St John the Baptist, Witheridge

Welcome to St John the Baptist, Witheridge.
We offer a more formal type of service grounded in Church of England liturgy with the love of God at the heart of all we do and offer. The services are in modern language using Common Worship resources to mark every season of the church year.
We encourage you to continue to wear a mask while in the building to protect each other.
To reduce moving about during the service Adrian will continue to distribute communion to you in your seat in one kind only - bread, Adrian will receive the cup on behalf of us all.
Refreshments are available after the service at the back of church.

We are delighted to announce that the church is now open daily. The regular pattern of worship here is a service on the first and third Sunday of the month, please see services and events section for the type and time. Welcome to All Saints, Eggesford
The church is open daily between about 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. It stands alone near the River Taw in the centre of a large estate belonging to the Earls of Portsmouth which no longer exists. Inside are impressive memorials to the Chichesters and Fellowes, former owners. We are a friendly congregation welcoming locals and visitors from far and wide to traditional Evening Prayer at 6.00 p.m. on the third Sunday of every month.
We offer a more formal type of service grounded in Church of England liturgy with the love of God at the heart of all we do and offer. The services are generally in traditional language with seasonal services and life events in contemporary language.

There is no longer a need to reserve a place in church for worship. We wish to continue encouraging the use of face covering while in the building. Seating is at the discretion of the individual, we ask that you respect if someone wants to remain socially distanced. Hymns have been reintroduced to services. Communion continues to be offered in one kind only - bread - and will be brought to you in your seat.
