Getting here

Because of the narrowness of roads and local lanes cyclists need to take great care (many potholes).

Approximately 6 miles east from Plymouth on the A379 Kingsbridge Road

From Plymouth: Almost all the way through the village until you meet a small green - you will see the large church notice adjacent to Old Lane on the green - parking is very limited.

From Kingsbridge: As you enter the village on a left bend, look out for the small green on the right.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT BUSES:

Bus stop eastbound: Opposite The Foxhound, a real ale pub and restaurant - continue eastbound for 200m until you reach the green.

Bus stop westbound: Opposite the post box near the green.  Be careful of crossing the road because of the bend.

<span style="font-size: 1rem;">Buses: N.B. NO SUNDAY BUSES</span>

Stagecoach Southwest no. 3 Plymouth Centre to Kingsbridge via Yealmpton - up to hourly frequency.

Target Travel no. 94 Plymouth Royal Parade to Noss Mayo via Yealmpton Mon- Sat. Check Target Website.

Walkers: Brixton and Yealmpton are now linked by a safe footpath, the Silver Stream footpath, crossing the Silver Stream Bridge where a 14th/15th century bridge structure still helps to support the A379.
