St Mary's

Welcome to the lovely and historic parish church of St Mary the Virgin, Sturminster Newton.

St Mary's is open every day for private prayer.  Please do come and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this ancient house of prayer.

The parish of Sturminster Newton takes its responsibilities surrounding the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults who may be at risk very seriously. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer. We work in partnership with the Diocese of Salisbury to ensure that we work in accordance with best practice at all times.

Our Parish Safeguarding Policy can be downloaded from our Safeguarding page in the left hand menu

If you have any Safeguarding questions or concerns, you can contact our Benefice Safeguarding Officer, Roy Davey on 01258 474682, email [email protected].

Alternatively, you can contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Team on [email protected] or 01722 438651
