Citizen Science is alive in Charlton! Following on from the Big Garden Birdwatch, and the Nature Count, the charity Butterfly Conservation is encouraging us all to count the butterflies we can see and report back to them, via their app or website (link below).

Spend just 15 minutes counting butterflies in your garden, on your daily walk, or in the Churchyard, between 17 July and 9 August.

Last year, the most spotted butterly was the Large White, 2024 saw a majority of Gatekeeper and Meadow Browns, and 2023 was a good year for the Red Admiral. What will win in Charlton?

All are welcome to join the Parish Communion service from the Book of Common Worship at 9.30am on the 4th Sunday of each month. Please walk or cycle to this service if you are able or join our Eco Charlton Lift Share group.
We serve tea, coffee and hot chocolate with biscuits or cake after Communion. You are welcome to join us for refreshments even if you don't come to the service - it's a chance for a chat with your friends and neighbours.
