On 30 June, the Revd Margaret Davies, one of our retired priests, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of her ordination to the priesthood. We offer our congratulations to Margaret for her long service as a priest and our grateful thanks for all that she has done in our parishes over that time. She is a faithful minister and we are very grateful for all that she has done, supporting the mission and ministry of our parishes. Thank you Margaret!
Outcome of Westbury Annual Parochial Church meeting on 17 MayFor those who weren’t able to be at the APCM at All Saints on 17 May, I thought you would like to know that we were unable to elect any new churchwardens this year. Ruth Hann is currently our outgoing churchwarden and she will be finishing the role at the end of July. The PCC met recently and have arranged to share out the role amongst the Council. We have formed a new Fabric Committee as a sub-committee of the PCC. This is to oversee work on our buildings (All Saints, Holy Saviour and the parish hall). In-person Safeguarding Basic and Foundation Level training session on Monday 22 June from 10.00 am – 1.00 pmAll members of our churches across the White Horse Team, who have a role such as sidesperson/welcomer, refreshments team, working in any way with children or vulnerable adults, PCC members, choir members etc, are required to attend safeguarding training at basic and foundation level. This has to be renewed every three years. It is available to do online at home, if you are able to do that, and please ask for the details. However, we are putting on an in-person training session on this day at All Saints Church in Westbury. We were sorry to say farewell this week to Sally l’Anson who has been the Rector's PA since March last year. Sally needs to spend more time with her family at the moment so has taken a step back from her role. We said a big thank you to her on Monday 11 May for all that she has done to support myself and the administration in the Team.
