Holy Saviour Church Accessibility Information

Holy Saviour Church is located in the centre of Westbury Leigh and there is parking outside the church.

The nearest train station is Dilton Marsh Train Station, and the church is around a 15 minute walk from this station. The nearest bus stop is on the road, just outside the church. Please consult local bus and train timetables to check service times.

We normally enter the church through the small door on the right of the building. For level access please use the main porch and enter through the hall. A ramp is available and a member of the welcome team will be able to assist you.

Toilets are available in the building. These are located straight through the main entrance and immediately to the right. We have an accessible toilet with level wheelchair access and a grab rail available. Baby changing facilities are available in the accessible toilet.

Communion is normally distributed from the step in front of the altar, and you do not need to go up the step to receive this. If you need Communion to be brought to you in your seat, please let a member of the welcome team know before the service begins.

Gluten free wafers are available. If you do not wish to take the Communion wine you are welcome to take Communion in one kind by just receiving the bread. If you wish to speak to someone about this before the service, please do feel free to get in touch to discuss your needs.

We have some children’s books and toys available in the church. Please feel free to use these at any time.

There is pew seating in the church. If you require a quiet area or alternative seating, this can be arranged. Please get in touch ahead of your visit and we can talk through what might work best for you.

You are very welcome to bring any sensory aids you might need and to use these during services or events.

Unfortunately, we do not currently have a hearing loop fitted. Printed notes and resources are usually available for services and events, including large print versions.

If you would like readings, words of hymns or a timetable for a particular service or event to be sent to you ahead of attending, please get in touch and we will happily organise this for you.

You are welcome to get in touch to discuss any other requirements, to ask questions, to discuss service/event content or structure, to discuss lighting in the building, to discuss particular seating arrangements, or to arrange to visit the church ahead of attending a service or event.

To discuss any access needs please get in touch with Lily Munday on 01373 302 407
