The Ark in St Mark's Church garden was opened officially on Thursday 28th July 2022. Members of the community and church joined together to celebrate as Vicar Andy cut the ribbon and David the Woodman and Rod from The Salisbury Men's Shed sprayed the boat with fizzy water! Mr Noah and his family then entered the Ark!

The Artist from the Salisbury Men's Shed has completed the sea creatures designed by children at Exeter house School and is in the process of completing the remaining ones designed by children from Wyndham Park Infant School and St Mark's Junior School. They are very good!

Birds (although not a dove and raven) also visited the opening with their owner Emily from Two Birds Experience. Merula the American Kestrel checked out the Ark and perched on the rainbow! Some mini beasts also visited (although not in pairs!).

The Ark was built to go with the rainbows and symbolise the hope we have, even during the pandemic. The Ark Exhibition has been moved to the church annex but is available to view over the summer on Saturdays when the church is open 11.00 to 1.00 for tours and refreshments.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
