On Remembrance Sunday 9 November, 2025 St James North Newnton attend a joint Remembrance Service at 9.30 am at Manningford [rather than our usual 11 am service most 2nd Sundays].
That afternoon there will be a short act of remembrance at Hilcott Cemetery, around the recently cleaned War Memorial at 3 pm
Hilcott Cemetery - What 3 words - https://w3w.co/chucked.gathering.bleak
Please arrive before 3 pm and only park on the grass verge on the Northern side of the road - same side as the cemetery gates.
We hope to welcome an Army Chaplain and Bugler to help show our respects.
All are welcome to join us. Those with medals and/or military headdress are welcome to wear them. If you have any medals awarded to a relative you are encouraged to wear those - on your right lapel or equivalent. If you have some, but are unsure, just bring them and one of the veterans will help you wear them. Those in uniformed organisations (Guides, Scouts, Cadets) are welcome to wear uniform but only IF they want to.
Many of us will retire to The Woodbridge Inn, North Newnton, SN9 6JZ afterwards.
[last food orders by 3.45 pm or pre-order, pub closes 6 pm] see current menu and contact details at https://www.woodbridgeinn.uk
