Nurstead: St Mildred
Meopham with Nurstead Parishes.
Welcome to the churches of St John the Baptist, Meopham and St Mildred’s Nurstead.
Following the lifting of Plan B Covid restrictions in January, these churches alongside many other groups and business will continue to encourage the wearing of face coverings, the use of hand sanitiser and the exercise of care and concern for others in our buildings.
It is easy to forget and become complacent when infection numbers fall, vaccinations numbers increase and we long for matters to return to normal, but the virus is still present and none of us, I am sure, want to pass the virus on to someone else.
We will continue to enable those who wish to sit distanced from others, to do so.
Holy Communion is now available in both kinds with intinction of the wafer by the priest and a laying of that wafer into your hand. If you wish to receive wafer only or a blessing, please indicate to the warden and the priest and they will respond to your wishes.
Singing and limited sharing of the Peace continues.
Bibles and multi-use service sheets have been reinstated.
Refreshments in the Centre are available following worship.
Face coverings continue to be encouraged when appropriate.
Thank you for caring for each other day by day as we learn how to live with this virus within our midst.
Currently, St John’s Church is open on Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 9.30am until 4pm
St Mildred’s church building remains closed unless there is a service or other activity taking place.
