Gillingham: St Barnabas

Welcome to our webpage. Our motto is reaching out and welcoming in. Our services are at 11am on Sunday and we welcome all.

This week the PCC voted to form a united benefice with that of St Mary Magdalene Gillingham Green. This is a huge move forward and will bring much greater stability to the parish. We look forward to the two churches working together in the future.

We have celebrate Christmas in a restricted way but are now turning towards Lent and opening up more after the latest wave of the pandemic. Our Wednesday club is in full swing and all are welcome to join us.

Our Cafe church service is back in full swing and meets at 10.30 on the 2nd Sunday of every month. All are welcome to this as well and to sample the famous bacon sandwiches.

"The parish of Gillingham: St Barnabas is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Rochester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
