Following Durham Castle reporting the finding of a medieval wall painting of a flower - we feel we should 'show off' our flowers - and our Bishop.This can be seen in the area to the right of the arch leading to the Chancel - with additional flowers painted in the same style on the left leading to the Chancel.We are very proud of our History here at St James.
Our services: 7th December 2025 - Carols, Candles & Christingles on Sunday 7th December starting at 4.00 pm24th December 2025 - Midnight Communion with Rev'd Canon Neil Bunker starting at 11.00 pm and concludes with the lighting of the final Advent Candle25th December 2025 - the church will be open from 10.30 am to 11.30 am for quiet prayer and reflection
