St Mary's, Lydney

Welcome to St Mary's Lydney. We're a friendly and fairly traditional church and we'd love to see you one day. Our church is open every day between 9am and 5pm, so do feel free to pop in and have a look around.

We have services every Sunday morning, and would love to welcome you for a baptism or wedding as well. On the last Friday of every month we have a coffee morning which runs from 10am.

Our 8.30am Sunday service is traditional and quiet, a perfect escape from the noise and bustle of the week, and a good place for contemplation and reflection.

Our 10am Sunday service is sometimes more traditional and sometimes more informal, with hymns and worship songs. On the last Sunday of every month we have a really fun and informal service called Thrive, which is suited for everyone of all ages and mobility.

All are welcome here, without exception.

Safeguarding

St Mary's is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishop's guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, James Phelps.

The Diocese of Gloucester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

We encourage you to get in touch with our Parish Safeguarding Officer, James Phelps, on 07746 320 789, or by email at [email protected] if you would like to discuss anything relating to safeguarding.
