St. Paul's was built in 1669 following the bequest of Dean John Barwick, born in Wiherslack but who rose to become Dean of St. Pauls's Cathedral.
Today we hold services every Sunday generally according to the following pattern:
1st Sunday 9.30am Holy Communion (CW)
2nd Sunday 10.00am All-age Family Service
3rd Sunday 9.30am Holy Communion (CW or BCP)
4th Sunday 6.30pm Evensong (BCP) [4.00pm Nov-Feb]
We are part of an evolving Team of 7 parishes and on a 5th Sunday in the month we hold one United Service which rotates around the Benefice. Please check with the Vicar, Rev'd. Michael Woodcock, beforehand to confirm where the service will be held.
