For years the PCC has been aware of the very deep step into the church and that there is a lack of facilities at the church; in fact to put it bluntly there is no toilet. Well the plans are slowly coming together and thanks to a legacy the church has been able to employ an architect to develop plans and to lead us through the process of building a porch containing two toilets, levelling the step and remodelling the path. Both local planning permission and the faculty required have been achieved. The work now is nearing completion and the scaffolding has been removed, revealing the porch. We are now awaiting this to be finished, the path and the lights to be installed.
The local community work hard to support the running of the church on a day to day basis, so funds to supplement the legacy to actually build a porch that is fitting to Grade II * listed church and the conservation area within which it is set, are now being sort from Charitable Foundations.
The building work has commenced so please be careful if you visit and abide by all the safety signage.
