We are very sad to hear of the death of Val Harrington, who lived in the almshouses adjoining the church and for years has faithfully opened and closed the church each day. Val did not worship at St. Giles but was very attached to our little church and its congregation. She was a much-valued member of the small team that keeps St. Giles open and welcoming for visitors.
