Online Worship in Covid Crisis

Every Sunday at midnight

Online services are available not only during periods of lockdown, but for the duration of the corona virus crisis, so that those who are unable to attend public worship in church, or those who are isolating or shielding can still take part in Sunday worship. Links to national and diocesan services are given on our Faith Online page; we will up-date the list as more details are made available.
PLEASE NOTE: These services are NOT AT MIDNIGHT - times vary but this website requires a fixed time to be entered.

St Giles' Church,
Park Road

We have a monthly programme of varying services. Normally Common Worship Eucharist alternates with lay-led Morning Prayer.
Eucharist/Communion services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays normally last around 1hr 15mins.
Morning Prayer on the 1st and 3rd Sundays normally does not exceed 1 hour.
Please see the One-off Event listings for details of what is happening on which dates.
When there is a fifth Sunday in the month, there is always an Ashfords Benefice service on that day, so there will not be a service at St. Giles unless we are hosting the benefice event.

In your own home

Whilst services in the church have resumed since the national lockdowns, some members of our congregation feel safer worshipping "at home but together" at our usual time, 11.15am every Sunday morning. To join in this worship you will need to download from the News and Notices page the current weekly pewsheet (contains the readings and collect), and the Ashfords Benefice order of service (includes the Rector's sermon). You may prefer to use St. Giles' own form of Morning Prayer normally used for our lay-led services, or another version from the Deanery - both are also available to download. If you feel in need of some inspiration for the prayers of intercession, the Intercessions page may be helpful. Your favourite hymns and songs will probably be on YouTube.
