Services in the Presteigne Group of Parishes on Remembrance Sunday, 10 NovemberWe have services in two of our churches next Sunday morning:9.00 Remembrance Service Lingen10.50 Remembrance Service PresteigneThe service at St Andrew’s will be attended by members of the Royal British Legion, uniformed services and youth organisations, and will follow the laying of wreaths at Presteigne War Memorial at around 10.15. Our service begins slightly earlier than usual to allow us to observe the two minutes’ silence at 11 am. If you accidentally arrive at the normal time, please do not come in until you hear that the silence has finished.If you are unable to join us in person, you can find an Order of Service for Remembrance for use at home elsewhere on this page. You may also like to use this on Armistice Day itself, Monday 11 November, for marking the two minutes' silence at 11 am.

If you would like us to remember any of your departed loved ones by name, you can give the names to us when you arrive at church and we will add them to our list, or you can email our Rector, Revd Stephen Hollinghurst, on revsteve.hollinghurst@gmail.com and he will make sure they are included. You will also have the opportunity to light a candle yourself in their memory. Of course we are also happy to name members of your family or friends even if you can't be with us in person.If you are not able to be with us in church, you can find both the Collect and Reading for the fourth Sunday before Advent, to use with the normal Short Service for Use at Home, and a shortened version of the Service for All Souls that we will be using at St Andrew’s, elsewhere in this page as downloadable documents. You might like to light a candle as you read through the All Souls service.
