St Michael and All Angels, Stoke St. Michael
Welcome to the Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels, in Stoke St Michael.
As we head into the second national lockdown, we are disappointed to announce that services must stop in church again (apart from funerals and weddings).
However, the church will remain open every day, 10am to 4pm, for individual private prayer. We pray you will find peace and God’s love there when you visit.
We will be holding Zoom services during this time. Please see elsewhere on this website for details of the services
Please contact Revd Anthony Dickson directly for details about Funerals and Weddings
If you have specific prayers for yourself or family or friends please do get in touch with us, and members of the church community will be happy to pray for you.
A prayer for all those affected by coronavirus
God of love and hope,
you made the world and care for all creation,
but the world feels strange right now.
The news is full of stories about Coronavirus.
Some people are worried that they might get ill.
Others are anxious for their family and friends.
Be with them and help them to find peace.
We pray for the doctors and nurses and scientists,
and all who are working to discover the right
medicines to help those who are ill.
Thank you that even in these anxious times,
you are with us.
Help us to put our trust in you and keep us safe.
The parish of Stoke St Michael is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Bath & Wells’ safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services. Further details of our Church policy is on the Safeguarding section of the website
