Welcome to the Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels, in Stoke St Michael.
We are a rural church in the middle of Somerset, and are connected to neighbouring churches of Leigh-on-Mendip, Downhead and the Postlebury Group.
Our Parish Priest, Revd Anthony Dickson, oversees all 8 churches, and services take place on a rota basis.
We are a small congregation, but friendly and enthusiastic. Visitors to our services and other events are warmly welcomed.
The church continues to be open every day, 10am to 4pm, for individual private prayer. We pray you will find peace and God’s love there when you visit.
Please contact Revd Anthony Dickson directly for details about Funerals and Weddings
If you have specific prayers for yourself or family or friends please do get in touch with us, and members of the church community will be happy to pray for you.
Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Bath & Wells’ safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
