Children at Stoke Church

Children are always welcome at any of our services and events (and we never mind some noise and wriggling during services, and have a selection of books and activities for any children who need a distraction!)

During our Family Communion Service (3rd Sunday of the Month) we hold "Sunday Stokers" , a group especially for Children, ages 4 to 11 years. The group meet at The Village hall at 10.30am;  they have craft activities, Bible stories, drinks and snacks, and walk down to church to join together with the end of the service. Safeguarding Information

The parish of Stoke St Michael is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Bath & Wells’ safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services. Further details of our Church policy is on the Safeguarding section of the website
