We are pleased to make the following announcement from the Archdeacon...

Following the recent interviews and the recommendation of the Parish

representatives, we are pleased to announce that the Bishop has appointed the

Reverend Keith Johnson to the post of Priest in Charge of the Benefices of Leigh upon

Mendip with Stoke St Michael and of Postlebury. This appointment is subject to a

satisfactory completion of the usual statutory checks made on all clergy taking up a

new post.

Details of a Service of Welcome will be announced in due course.

Please hold Keith and his wife Rachel in your prayers as they prepare to begin a new

ministry among us and pray too for Keith’s current congregations in the Benefice of

Hughenden (St Michael and All Angels) in the Diocese of Oxford, who will also hear

this news today.

Bishop Michael and Archdeacon Anne have asked me to thank everyone involved in

the process of bringing this new appointment to fruition.
