We enjoyed a family friendly, Stokers Sunday service this morning. Stokers started at the usual time of 10.30am but this time in Church. We created some stunning stained glass windows inspired by the beautiful windows in Church. We also made gift boxes and filled them with yummy treats... however there was a catch! We had to be very patient and not open them until the end of the service!

In the talk, we heard about the Ascension of Jesus. He ascended to Heaven so he could be there for all of us. It was then the turn of the whole congregation to do an activity. We all drew our portrait, or wrote our name, in a mini picture frame and created a display to remind us that Jesus is for Everyone.

Jesus told the disciples that he would send them special gifts, but they needed to be patient. Our Stokers were also very patient and at the end of the service were rewarded with their yummy gifts.
