On Saturday, the village got together to put on a wonderful community event. There was live music in the pub courtyard, the hall proved popular with line dancing, a disco and a live band, playing all the crowd pleasers.

The church was also a buzz! 

Outside, the local PTA stalls included Hook-a-duck and glitter tattoos, as well as a Stokers Lucky Dip. Inside the church was the Stokers Lego Creation Station and at 3pm the children were delighted by an entertainer who gave every child a balloon animal or sword! Alongside all that, there was a delicious array of homemade cakes, cream teas, Pimms and other goodies for all to enjoy.

A huge thank you to the Stoke Events Committee for bringing everyone together, also a huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped run the refreshments in the church. Over £400 was raised, a fabulous total, which will go towards the repair of the 'Villagers Window'.
