Join us for a traditional and musical evening service.

This is a beautiful service, which uses service booklets so that you know which parts the minister says, and which parts the congregation say aloud. One of the main parts of the service is the Psalm for the day, which is either said aloud or sung. This is followed by readings from the Bible, including the joyous words of the Virgin Mary when she learned she would give birth to Jesus, and the heartfelt words of Simeon, when he recognises the Messiah when he meets Jesus. The service ends with prayers: the Lord's Prayer, the prayer for the day, a prayer for peace and a prayer for help against troubles. There are four hymns which are sung during the service, and a a short talk too.

This is a great opportunity for the local community of Coxley, and the area around Wells to enjoy cold or hot drinks at Christ Church Coxley. Come and enjoy chatting with and getting to know other people over a drink. Everyone is welcome to come! The church is a very pleasant tempreture on hot days, and it's heated on cold days, so come and enjoy space all year round!

Join a small group to explore stories of fallings-out and making up from the Old Testament. Each week we'll focus on a one work of art, and hear the story of from the Bible. Join us as we celebrate harvest, with the farms, fields and countryside around us this is a lovely community service, as we thank God for his blessings over the harvest. Everyone is welcome to attend, including families and those who might be new to church. There'll be signing, prayers, a short talk and refreshments after the service too! There will also be activities for children to do during the service. Please bring any food donations to the service with you, and these will go to Wells Foodbank.

A fun afternoon for children and families at Wookey Goat Farm, with crafty activities, a treasure hunt, campfire to roast marshmallows on (weather permitting), and planting bulbs.

Join us at this informal brunch at Christ Church Coxley. There'll be food, an optional quiz and a talk. There is also activities and crafts for children to do. This is a great monthly event to attend, and new people and families are always welcome to come along.

Join us for a service of Holy Communion. There will be hymns, prayers, Bible readings and a short sermon too. Plus tea and coffee served after the service.

Come and join us for a special service as we remember those who we love, but who are no longer here. This service offers quiet and space for reflection, as well as the opportunity to offer thanksgiving for the lives of loved one.

This service will last about 50 minutes and will include hymns, readings, prayers, as well as an act of rememberance, when the names of those we have come to remember will be read out and a candle lit for each one.

There's no need to let us know in advance if you are planning to attend but if you would like the name of your loved one to be read out during the service, it would help us if you could please email Katrina at [email protected] Please let us know by Wednesday 29th October. If this is not possible then you can let us know when you arrive.

Join us for a fun quiz focusing on general knowledge, with tasty puddings and hot drinks to enjoy during the evening. You can also bring your own drinks with you. There are 6 people to a team, but don't worry if you can't put together a team, as we will be happy to arrange this for you. Tickets are £10 per person, and the money raised will go to Coxley Church. There'll also be a raffle on the night. You will need to reserve your ticket with Jenny, and then pay in cash on the night. We'll gather together to pay our respects for those who serve, have served, been injured and given their lives in past or present wars. We especially think of the local people who died during World War 1 and World War 2, and we'll lay wreaths at the memorial to them, after a time of silent reflection and remembrance. We'll then have a short service of remembrance with hymns, prayers and a short sermon. We hope that you are able to join us as we pay our respects to those to whom we owe so much.

Join us for a worship service for all-ages. This is a great service to attend if you are new to Church or interested in Christianity, as it has an informal style.

To truly celebrate Christmas, it helps to see Christ as more than just the baby in the manger or the saviour on the cross. While the Apostles’ creed jumps from “Born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate”, this advent course looks at the life of Jesus hidden in that comma and will help us ponder what Jesus’ life means for us. Every fifth Sunday we rotate which church we hold a morning service in so we can all gather together. This time, we’re gathering in Wookey Church to share Holy Communion. We're going to be singing hymns accompanied by the organ. There'll also be prayers, Bible readings, and a short talk, with coffee afterwards. We hope that you will join us!
