Please note that there will be no service at Holy Trinity on Sunday 21 June, due to the Freckleton Half Marathon. There will be a Eucharist at St Paul’s, Warton at 9.30 that morning.
An absolute joy to baptise Louis James on his first birthday today, a wonderful double celebration.
As some of our Year 6 children received Holy Communion at our school service today, following their Confirmation last Sunday, we spent time reflecting on Corpus Christi, which was celebrated last week.We opened a special gift box and talked about the joy and excitement of receiving a gift. Inside was the priest's wafer, or host, helping us to think about the Eucharist and how Jesus is God's gift to all of us. Through this simple activity, we reflected on Jesus' love, his presence with us, and the gift he gives to each one of us.We are very proud of our Year 6 children as they continue on their faith journey and grow in their relationship with God.
Congratulations to Alesha, Jack and Oliver, confirmed at St Paul's, Warton this afternoon by Bishop Joe.We loved the beautiful ancient symbolism Bishop Joe used of making the first half of their confirmation promises facing west, where the sun sets - rejecting the devil, renouncing evil, repenting of sins. Then for the second half of the promises, they faced the front - or east - and the cross, and promised to turn to Christ, to submit to him as Lord and to come to Christ, the way, the truth and the life.
