St Alphege Whitstable is an inclusive and family friendly church. Our worship is traditional yet relaxed.
Due to the current lockdown our worship is online and our prayer is dispersed to our homes. Please get in touch if you need any practical support.
We love helping people of all ages explore their faith or think about baptism, or helping couples prepare for marriage. We can also support families in difficult times, and offer funerals, and on-going social support for bereaved people.

CORONA VIRUS UPDATE
In line with the recent change in restrictions St John's has now suspended all communal worship in its church buildings. The church will be OPEN FOR PRIVATE PRAYER ONLY (Sundays between 11.15am -12.00 noon) and social distancing must be observed at all times. Face coverings are mandatory unless medically-exempt.
The church can also open for recorded worship although the public may NOT attend. Funerals and weddings may still take place although there is a limit on numbers of those attending. For more information please email [email protected]
Please be assured that we continue to pray for our community in Swalecliffe and Chestfield, for those that work within the NHS, for carers and researchers and for those vulnerable people within our communities. We are praying particularly for health - physically, mentally and spiritually - during this challenging and difficult time.

This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving.
