What We Believe

We affirm and trust in one God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. At the centre of our faith lies the belief in God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Christians hold that Jesus is the Son of God, and through Jesus, we come to realise that God is our Father. Furthermore, God is present and accessible to us through the Holy Spirit.

The Nature of Faith

It is not expected that you fully comprehend all aspects of this mystery. Rather, the essential question is whether you believe and trust in God. This is what is meant by faith—an understanding that differs from ordinary knowledge. Faith is the experience of being known and loved by God, and of responding with love in return.

God’s Initiative and Revelation

The Christian faith is not a product of human invention. Evidence of God’s existence and creative power is visible in the world around us, as noted in Acts 14.15–17. However, our particular way of believing stems from God’s initiative—He has sought us out and made Himself known.

God Revealed Through Jesus and the Holy Spirit

God has disclosed Himself through the Bible, and most clearly through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. Moreover, God continues to make Himself known personally to each believer through the presence and work of the Holy Spirit.
