There is Holy Communion at Christ & St Mary, Armathwaite (9.30) and at St Michael’s,
Skelton (11am). Family Worship takes place at All Saints, Calthwaite (9.30). Sunday services for 13 August
There is Holy Communion at St Michael & All Angels, Ainstable (9.30) and St James, Hutton in the Forest (11am). Morning Prayer takes place at St John the Evangelist, Plumpton (9.30), St Mary’s, High Hesket (11am)
Sunday service for 20 August
There is Holy Communion at All Saints, Calthwaite (9.30) and at St James, Hutton in the Forest (11am)***. Morning Prayer takes place at Christ & St Mary (9.30). Also at St Michael’s, Skelton and St Mary’s, High Hesket (both services at 11am).
***St James moved their service away from August 27 because of a Music Festival taking place that weekend.

School Foundation Governors As part of our ministry in this part of God’s creation we have
the joy of helping our two Church of England primary schools (Calthwaite & High Hesket) to
grow in their Christian understanding. Part of this includes being involved with the
Governors. Both schools currently have a vacancy for a Governor and it would be wonderful

part of our witness to be able to support the schools in all they hope to achieve in the lives
of these youngsters. Please pray about this and if you would like to find out more then do
get in touch with.

Mission Community Service – Please have a look at the following page. Those of you who
joined us at last years’ service had a great time. Let’s put the word out and aim to get more
people along in 2023.

Open Air Service & BBQ
Come and join churches from the Blencathra Mission Community for a Family Open Air Service, with live music, BBQ, ice cream van and fun for the kids.

Our friends in the East of Eden Mission Community ( eastofedenmc.org.uk ) are running their very successful Family Funtime sessions. If you fancy an afternoon in Kirkoswald with your small people then I know you’d be made very welcome. They tell me it gets cancelled if the weather is of the wet variety!
