Final Service My final service takes place at St Michael’s in Skelton on Sunday 4th Feb at 2pm. It would be wonderful to see as many of you as possible there for one last hurrah! I’d like to draw your attention to the following event. NISCU is a Christian charity that works in any school that invites it in. Across Eden we are blessed by having Ruth & Andi who work in schools sharing the wonderful God story that we are all keen to share. A member of the wider team (Jane) is running two listening training sessions in our locality over the coming months, please see below. Sometimes people are speaking to us but are we really listening? The training is designed to help us hear properly what is being said, especially if we are concerned about a person’s wellbeing.

There has been a lot going on across the 7 churches – it has been busy, but a lot of fun. As you now know, I have a new job in the south of the county which means that Ruth & I are moving out on the 13th February. This means that I will still be taking my regular service in your church in January. People are busy trying to find temporary replacements for those services during the gap between vicars and people have begun the process to try and find a permanent, suitable replacement to fill my shoes. Please keep these people in your prayers over the coming months. Keep Jim & Kathryn in your prayers 1 Rev Mark Houston telephone 01768 885669 email houstonmark15@gmail.com as they embark on this venture and don’t be afraid to offer any assistance you feel you can. As the name implies there will be time for tea, cake and a chat afterwards. Coming Soon Bishop Jill is the current Bishop of Lancaster who I have known for nearly ten years. She is coming to Appleby in December to lead a day (for women) of refreshing, a few hours away from all that distracts us from time with God. I would encourage any who can to go along. Someone has offered to take folk in her car. Please get in touch with me for details If paying £10 / or travelling to Appleby is going to cause a stumble to you then please contact me in confidence.
