Sunday services for 17 September

There is a Lay Led service at Christ & St Mary, Armathwaite (9.30). There are also Lay Led services at St Mary’s, High Hesket and St Michael’s, Skelton both at 11am. A Harvest Communion takes place at All Saints, Calthwaite (9.30).

Sunday services for 24 September

There is a Harvest Communion St John the Evangelist, Plumpton (9.30) and St Mary’s, High Hesket (11am). Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion takes place at St James, Hutton in the Forest (11am).

Services & Gatherings on the next few weeks

Tuesday 19th & 26th – Morning Prayer at 10.30 from the comfort of your own armchair using Zoom. Contact [email protected] or Mark for details. (WEEKLY EVENT)

Wednesday 6th – Bible Study group at Christ & St Mary’s, Armathwaite – 2pm

Thursday 7th – Morning Prayer at 8am in St Michael’s, Skelton (WEEKLY EVENT)

School Foundation Governors As part of our ministry in this part of God’s creation we have the joy of helping our two Church of England primary schools (Calthwaite & High Hesket) to grow in their Christian understanding. Part of this includes being involved with the Governors. Both schools currently have a vacancy for a Governor and it would be wonderful part of our witness to be able to support the schools in all they hope to achieve in the lives of these youngsters. Please pray about this and if you would like to find out more then do get in touch with.

Bishop Jill is the current Bishop of Lancaster who I have known for nearly ten years. She is coming to Appleby in December to lead a day (for women) of refreshing, a few hours away from all that distracts us from time with God. I would encourage any who can to go along.
