Sunday services for 1 October – Sorry for not getting this out on time Sunday services for 8 October

There is a Harvest Communion at St Michael & All Angels, Ainstable (9.30) and Holy Communion (BCP) St James, Hutton in the Forest (11am).
There will be a service of Morning Prayer at St John the Evangelist, Plumpton (9.30) and St Mary’s, High Hesket (11am).
SOMETHING NEW – Join us at All Saints, Calthwaite (3pm) for a time of fellowship & worship.

Sunday services for 15 October

There is s service of Holy Communion at All Saints, Calthwaite (9.30). The Bishop of Penrith will be presiding at this service.
There is a service of Morning Prayer at St Mary’s, High Hesket (11am).

School Foundation Governors As part of our ministry in this part of God’s creation we have

the joy of helping our two Church of England primary schools (Calthwaite & High Hesket) to

grow in their Christian understanding. Part of this includes being involved with the

Governors. We still need one foundation governor. It would be wonderful part of our

witness to be able to support the schools in all they hope to achieve in the lives of these

youngsters. Please pray about this and if you would like to find out more then do get in

touch with me.

Bishop Jill is the current Bishop of Lancaster who I have known for nearly ten years. She is coming to Appleby in December to lead a day (for women) of refreshing, a few hours away from all that distracts us from time with God. I would encourage any who can to go along. Someone has offered to take folk in her car. Please get in touch with me for details
