NEWS FROM MARK – Many of you will have heard by now that I have accepted the post to be the next vicar of Allithwaite & Flookburgh (on the Cartmel peninsula). This move will not take place until next Spring. I love being part of the 7 churches in Inglewood but the opportunity to serve 2 churches (& minister in each every Sunday) was too tempting. Please pray for those beginning the process of finding a successor for you in these parishes.
Sunday services for 5 November –
9.30 - Holy Communion at Christ & St Mary’s, Armathwaite. Morning Worship at All Saints, Calthwaite
11am – Holy Communion at St Michael’s, Skelton.
Sunday services for 12 November –
9.30 – REMEMBRANCE service at St Michael & All Angels, Ainstable. Morning Prayer at St John the Evangelist, Plumpton.
10.30 – REMEMBRANCE services at All Saints, Calthwaite, St Mary’s, High Hesket and St James, Hutton in the Forest.
3pm – Something New. Come and find out about the work of Safe Families.

Parish Visits
Most months I do try and spend dedicated time in each parish. These are opportunities
when you can come & find me in church. Sometimes people join me and we have a short
service but there is always time to chat.
4 Nov – Plumpton at 10am 6 Nov – Hutton in the Forest at 10am
6 Nov – Skelton at 11am 7 Nov – Calthwaite at 10am
9 Nov – High Hesket at 10am 10 Nov – Ainstable at 10am
20 Nov – Armathwaite at 10am

New Monthly Service – Our Anna Chaplains, Kathryn & Jim are launching a special Tea
Service in Skelton Chapel on 28 November at 2.30. This is a special, short service for anyone
who might struggle to make the Sunday services. If you have any family or friends who
might enjoy something like this please do get in touch. Keep Jim & Kathryn in your prayers

Bishop Jill is the current Bishop of Lancaster who I have known for nearly ten years. She is coming to Appleby in December to lead a day (for women) of refreshing, a few hours away from all that distracts us from time with God. I would encourage any who can to go along. Someone has offered to take folk in her car. Please get in touch with me for details
