Our Holy Communion service is a celebration of the Eucharist, an ancient name (from the Greek word for 'thanksgiving') widely used today for the service that is otherwise known as the Holy Communion, the Lord's Supper or Mass. The Eucharist is a service in which Christians follow Jesus' command to his followers, to share bread and wine in remembrance of him. The order of service follows the Book of Common Prayer (BCP).

Sundays – 08:00, 10:30* & 17:30
Wednesdays – 09:30 & 17:30 (Evensong - Term time only)
Fridays – 17:30 (Evensong - Term time only)

Visiting Us

We welcome visitors throughout the week to explore our beautiful building, discover its history, or find a moment of peace. Our usual winter opening hours are:

Sunday:  12:00 - 16:00
Monday and Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday to Saturday:  10:00 - 16:00

Opening times maybe subject to variation due to lifetime events such as baptisms, weddings and funerals, as well as concert and school events.

The Collegiate Parish Church of St Mary is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. The Church, welcomes our regular congregation, Sunday School, choirs, visitors and those who just need a place of peace in a busy world.
