CAROLS ROUND THE TREE 2023 After an anxious day caused by the high winds, the Carols Round the Tree in Crich Market Place went ahead as usual on Thursday. Jointly organised by St Mary’s Church and Crich Baptist Church, the event was coordinated by Martyn Offord. Despite the weather a good crowd supported the event, which raised nearly £400 for Macmillan Cancer Support. The organisers would like to thank all the team who made it happen, in particular Crich Brass who persevered despite the wind and rain and the lack of any protective gazebo! But also the song sheet distributors, the stewards, the charity collectors, Chris Hand for his assistance, Keith Bridger and his team who supplied the PA, Derbyshire Fire & Rescue (Crich Fire Station), Crich Brew

who provided refreshments and last but not least, Santa himself! But as always, special thanks go to all the hardy souls who supported the event and donated so generously. A true Crich tradition.
