Information for visitors (including accessibility information)

The regular worship at St Michaels is largely “traditional” Church of England worship. We predominantly use Common Worship services, and follow the standard Church of England lectionary for our weekly readings. While our worship is relatively “traditional”, we seek to maintain a relatively informal and relaxed atmosphere. We usually use printed service booklets and hymn books. We usually have some large print service booklets available for use, these are available upon request from the people who hand out the service books as you enter the building.

Children are more than welcome at St Michaels. We do have some books and toys available, but please feel free to let your children bring their own toys and games to play with. If your children want to eat or drink during the service, please do bring snacks and drinks for them. If you do bring any food or drink please dispose of any rubbish appropriately (we do have rubbish bins available in the building), and if any mess is made please let one of our team know so that we can clean it up. We do also request is that if you bring any sweets please do bring enough to share with Rev’d Daniel. Especially Skittles. Rev'd Daniel likes Skittles.

A few notes on Accessibility:

Access to the Church building is all “on one level”. There are no steps.

Access is through a pair of double doors which are normally both open prior to services.

There are a few different flooring surfaces within the building; carpet, stone flag stone and wooden flooring.

All of our seating is non-fixed, individual chairs which we are more than happy to move for you if you require additional space for any mobility aids, wheelchairs or pushchairs.

We do have a Loop system installed, and have large print service orders available upon request.

We do have a disabled accessible toilet, and baby changing facilities available within the Church Building.

If you require any more information regarding accessibility please do get in touch using the details on our “contacts” page.
