St John the Baptist
Welcome to the home page of Tideswell Parish.
Latest News: St John's Tideswell will open daily for private prayer from Monday June 22nd. Visitors are welcome between 10am and 4pm; please follow the social distancing and hand hygiene guidance on site. A one way route through the building and a careful rotation of the blocks of pews available for use each day will enable us to make your visit as safe as possible. Private prayer might of course include a quiet walk round the church or simply a sit-down for as long as you find helpful. A self service bookstall will be open; sadly the toilets at the Institute will not. Access at the South (main) door is on the level (though the floors are uneven).
Meanwhile, the Church continues to be alive and active, even though no public worship may currently take place in our buildings.
Our worship of God and our care for each other continue but, for now, cannot be done in this building.
You can join others online for a short service at midday every Sunday; please let Simon know if you'd like to receive a secure Zoom link, by emailing [email protected]
We post a five minute Gospel reflection on our Facebook page every Sunday.
