St Peter & St Paul
"Welcome to your living church sharing the good news of Jesus."
You can be assured of a warm welcome in our beautiful old Grade 1 listed church in the village of Old Brampton on the outskirts of Chesterfield towards the Peak District. We normally have services every Sunday and mid-week Thursdays. Please delve into the ACNY pages for further detail of normal services.
However, the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a number of changes throughout 2020 and 2021. We are pleased to announce that regular 09:30 Sunday morning services in Church recommenced on Palm Sunday 2021. We no longer require you to "pre-book" to attend, but we do ask that you respect social distancing and wear a mask when in Church. We sing hymns, but with masks on when in Church. Other services are temporarily "on hold".
Our vicar, Rev'd Sarah, Associate priest, Rev'd Janet and Reader, Kate are conducting some other services by Zoom - 20 minute Daily Offices on weekdays - 9 am Morning Prayer and 5 pm Evening Prayer. Please contact Rev'd Sarah ([email protected]) for details.
The parish of Old Brampton: Saints Peter & Paul is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer. The Diocese of Derby’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
