Welcome to Gussies!
We worship as a church family on Sunday mornings at 10 am.
During the Covid pandemic when we can meet in the building there's no need to book in advance, just turn up for a warm welcome! You are asked to sanitise your hands on arrival, maintain social distancing, wear a face covering and follow the one-way system marked by signs on the floor. Service sheets will be available on chairs, please sit where you feel comfortable. Our duty wardens will be available to help in any way they can. These services are streamed live on our Facebook Page - St Augustine's Church Derby (look for the white logo with a sketch of our church building).
During lockdown we meet on Zoom - if you would like to join us please make contact through this page and we'll let you have the Zoom link.
On Wednesday mornings during term time we have a drop in for a hot drink, cake, biscuits and a chat, 10.30 am to 11.30 am. This is to provide support and social contact during the pandemic. You are welcome just to turn up, no need to book.
On Wednesday mornings, 10 am to 12 noon, we host the Jubilee debt and advice clinic in partnership with Derby City Mission. You can book appointments through DCM, or turn up between 10 am and 13.30 am. Please wear a face covering - if you don't have one, please ask upon arrival. During Lockown we regret that the clinic is closed. If you are in need of support with debt, benefit or food parcels, please contact DCM by telephoning 01332 460 347 or email [email protected]
The parish Walbrook Epiphany, Derby is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Derby’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Most churches are “Excepted Charities” and are therefore not registered with the Charity Commission. You can download a PDF that includes your church name, address and church code. This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
