ABOUT THE HALLS
How many people can each space accommodate?
Our spaces have the following maximum capacities:
Main Hall: 150 people
Small Hall: 30 people
Softley Lounge: 20 people
Are tables and chairs included in the hire cost?
Yes. Tables and chairs are available to use at no additional cost. The quantities below are provided for guidance only and cannot be guaranteed.
Main Hall:
• 3 small tables (2 square and 1 round)
• 14 large tables
• 4 children’s tables
• 88 chairs
• 28 children’s chairs
Small Hall:
• 2 small round tables
• 3 large tables
• 18 chairs
Softley Lounge:
• 6 small square tables
• 16 chairs
HIRE RATES AND BOOKING
What are your current hire rates?
Our current hire rates are:
Main Hall: £20.00 per hour, including use kitchen
Small Hall: £15.00 per hour, including use of kitchen
Softley Lounge: £15.00 per hour
Small Hall and Softley Lounge: £20.00 per hour, including use of kitchen
Bouncy Castle: £10.00 additional charge to cover electricity
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A £100 deposit is required for all hires.

PARKING AND THE CENTRE GROUNDS
Is parking available at the Church Centre?
Yes. The Centre car park has 27 spaces, including 2 accessible spaces.
Parking is not included in your hire and spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Can I smoke or vape in the Church Centre grounds?
No. St George’s Church and Centre, including its grounds, is a non-smoking and non-vaping environment.
CATERING AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
Can I bring my own food?
Yes. You are welcome to bring your own food, but you must comply with all relevant food safety, health and hygiene legislation and regulations.
Can I bring my own electrical appliances?
Yes, provided that all electrical appliances brought onto the premises are safe, in good working order and used safely.
Where possible, appliances should have a valid Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) certificate.
CHILDREN, PETS AND ACTIVITIES
Can I bring my pet?
No animals, including birds, may be brought into the Centre, with the exception of registered assistance dogs.
No animals are permitted in the kitchen at any time.
An exception may be made for a special event agreed by the PCC. This includes animal encounter parties booked through a legitimate company that has its own insurance, risk assessment and safeguarding policies.
Can I have a bouncy castle?
Yes, subject to the following conditions:
• The hirer must have appropriate insurance, either provided by the inflatable supplier or through the hirer’s own insurance.
• A £10 additional charge applies for the use of a bouncy castle to cover electricity.
• Bouncy castles must be no higher than 3 meters.
Can I use bubbles in the Church Centre?
Please do not use bubbles in the centre. They can make the floor very slippery and create a safety hazard.
MUSIC AND EVENTS
Can I play music during my event?
Yes. You are welcome to play music, but please keep noise to a reasonable maximum volume and be considerate of our neighbours.
Can you help advertise my event?
Posters may be displayed in the Church Centre with prior agreement. Please discuss this with the Parish Administrator before displaying any promotional material. Posters displayed without permission may be removed.
