We’ll always be here to help you through one of life’s most difficult times. A Church of England funeral is available to everyone, giving support before, during and after the service, for as long as it’s needed.
To arrange for a Minister to take the service, whether in church or at the Crematorium, please discuss your wishes with your funeral director, who will then contact us with proposed dates and times on your behalf. We will help you to prepare a funeral service that gives thanks for the unique person you knew and loved, in a way that offers comfort and hope.
A Minister will visit you and your family before the funeral to talk through your wishes and help you prepare for the service. Our Bereavement Support Team also offers pastoral support before and after the funeral, and can continue to be alongside you in the weeks and months that follow, whether the service is at St John’s or at a Crematorium.
If you wish for the ashes of your loved one to be placed in our Garden of Remembrance, please contact the Church Office.
