This is a "said" Communion.

This service specifically has the most measures in place to help people remain safe. COVID precautions will remain in place:

1. Maximum ventilation (please bring a jumper or coat if you might feel a bit chilly with the windows open)
2. Everyone will be asked to wear a mask unless you have an official exemption. People may remove their masks when speaking as part of the service (eg leading the service, reading, leading intercessions)
3. Everyone will be asked to sanitise their hands as they enter
4. Orders of service will be placed before the service on well-spaced seats to ensure a good level of distance between people

We hope that the tightness of these precautions would make this service as accessible as possible for anyone who needs a higher level of assurance.

The Church of England is continuing to recommend that we keep some COVID precautions in place to take good care of each other.

For this service, these are:

4. Orders of service will be placed before the service on well-spaced seats to ensure a good level of distance between people
5. We will have music in the service by listening to CDs of hymns being sung
6. We will share the peace with a namaste bow or wave
7. To administer communion, the priest will stand at the front with the communion bread, people will be invited to come forward, and the CofE guidance now allows the priest to intinct each wafer in the wine before placing it in each person’s hands. There will be one chalice assistant, standing with the priest to assist with this. There will be a separate chalice for intincting gluten-free wafers.
8. You are invited to stay after the service, but please bring your own refreshments.
