Chorley's Valuation Day

Occurring
for 4 hours
Venue
St Peter & St Paul, Blockley
Address
The Church of St Peter & St Paul The Square Blockley Moreton in Marsh, GL56 9ES, United Kingdom

A great opportunity to bring along your items and have them valued by an expert. Chorley’s has chosen Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust as its Charity of the Year so now is the perfect time to see what's hiding in the back of the cupboard, up in the attic or tucked away in a drawer. That piece of jewellery you've inherited, the old painting you've always wondered about, the silver that's never used or the collectables gathering dust could be more interesting, and more valuable, than you think.
Bring along your antiques, jewellery, silver, ceramics, collectables, pictures, books or other interesting items and receive a free expert valuation from a Chorley's specialist. All items valued above £100 can be sent to auction. Following your valuation, the choice is entirely yours. You are welcome to simply take your item home or, if you decide to sell it through Chorley's, it can be entered into a special charity auction taking place in early November. If you choose to sell, you decide what percentage of the final sale price you would like to donate to Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust. You can donate 25%, 50%, 75% or even 100% of the proceeds, allowing you to support a good cause while still receiving a share of the sale if you wish.
It's a wonderful opportunity to uncover hidden treasures, clear some space at home and help protect Gloucestershire's historic churches for future generations.
Refreshments will be sold in aid of the church.

Safeguarding

We will do all we can to ensure that our worshipping community offers the safest places for children and vulnerable people.

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.

We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Gloucester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO. For help or further information , links and useful contact numbers please see the safeguarding section on our church website.
