Welcome! The church building of St James is open each day during daylight hours for visiting.
We worship twice a month, on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. As the church is very small please make contact with us if you intend to visit. For full Benefice service details please click here.
St James is a part of the Small Pilgrim Places Network so you are free to drop in to look around or simply to sit quietly and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Update 19th July 2021 - We have returned to church for all our services and look forward to welcoming you soon. We ask that you continue to wear a mask for our Sunday services. We are a tiny church and this allows us to look after the most vulnerable in our community and stay safe.
The parish of Bourton-on-the-Water w Clapton: St James is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
