We are delighted to have the Lincolnshire Film Archive back on Friday 16th October to show us more fascinating films of Lincolnshire. Commencing at 7pm, the film show starts with footage from exactly 100 years ago with a trip to Skegness and a group of business men having a fun day out in the Wash! Then we move to the end of the war and see farming at Butterwick with horse power and early tractors at work. The Coronation celebration through Boston in 1953 will bring back fond memories of local businesses and vintage machinery parading alongside Central Park. A look at Lincolnshire’s unique wildlife habitats and the county’s nature is seen in 1967. And the famous Spalding Flower Parade is featured in all its glory at the peak of its popularity in 1979, with a fascinating look behind the scenes at how the event is brought to life.Free Entry. Refreshments will be available at the break.
