The parish of The Brothertoft Group is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Lincoln’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Dear All
Please find attached important documents from last nights Deanery Synod.
Please circulate these to anyone whom you think would be interested we really do need a very strong turn out to this meeting at Sibsey on 6th July.
We are also having an earlier meeting with the Area Dean on 30th May 7pm at Langrick Village Hall, because of the size of the venue please do let me know if you wish to join us on this occasion as well.

Every blessing

Dear all,
*** PLEASE INVITE PCC, Congregation, retired clergy, readers, ALMs and anyone living in your parish or part of your community ***
This is an important opportunity to meet others, ask questions and share ideas about how we can work together. Please make it a priority in your diary if possible.
Please find attached three documents that were circulated last night at deanery synod. Please share these with your PCCs.
These are:
1. An update about ‘Time to Change Together’ and where we are currently as a deanery.
2. Suggestions for possible Local Mission Partnerships which were discussed at the Deanery Partnership Steering Group with the TTCT/diocese representatives.
3. Some statistics based on figures we have been given by the diocese regarding parish share previously paid and what the implications are likely to be for the deanery if our pledges cannot meet the cost of the stipendiary clergy going forward. These are only as accurate as the information that we have been given so apologies if there are slight errors in this, but it does give a broad picture of the problem we have as a deanery.
We are unable to progress much further until the parishes who have not yet put in their pledges do so as without these it is impossible to assess what we may be able to afford to cover in the future. If your PCC has not yet made a decision please do everything that you can to hasten this and to return the information. If you still need help with this or have any other questions please do ask the Covenant Pastors, myself or Chris Ladner.
Please continue to pray for the best way forward for our deanery as we seek to work together to show the love of God and share the good news of Jesus with others.
