Accessibility

A removable ramp is used for wheelchair and mobility scooter access at our main entrance.

Great Coates road is a main bus route with bus stops outside church. A few hundred yards in to the village you will find Great Coates Railway Station.

Pavement parking just outside the entrance to the churchyard is available for those with limited mobility.

Installed in 2025 this is a state of the art Sound System.

Car parking available in the lay bys close to church with more parking in the village.

Large print versions of our Regular Sunday Services are available.

Our Building

Grade 1 listed mediaeval church with many interesting features. Guide sheets available for both the church and churchyard.

Fragments of mediaeval glass in some windows, with large more modern windows illustrating bible stories.

External to church but with a step up for access.


Music and Worship

The chime of 4 bells are used for special occasions in church.

A wonderful organ placed in an ideal position for hearing it in all its magnificence, and a very talented organist. Recommended for your wedding.

We no longer have a regular choir but do have a congregation full of excellent voices. A choir can be easily arranged to sing special songs and favourite hymns at your wedding.


Groups, Courses and Activities

Two mediaeval brasses of the Barnardiston family are located in the church floor. Fascimiles of both for brass rubbings can be provided.

We sometimes host special events such as song and poetry recitals. If you think your group want to show off their talents in our wonderful church please contact the Secretary to discuss details.

Booklets on the mediaeval brasses and the churchyard are free for you to take.


Other Features

We support local foodbanks and donations are always welcome.

Our churchyard in all its glory is managed for nature. The annual display of spring flowering bulbs is a must see if you are in the area.
